I talked to your dad and mom before they left Gordon, Ohio. I can’t remember where they were moving to. I knew Marvin Miller, very well, he did some plumbing for me and Patty when we were first married and moved to Gordon, 56 years ago. I knew him and visited him at his house. He used to tell me stories about things his father had told him about Gordon and the activities around the saloons and what house was a saloon and so on. I also knew Cleo Miller most of my life. Dwight and I go back to the beginning. He was born in July, as I recall and I was born in October the same year. We went to school together and so on. His farm is derelict now and the house burned. He lives with a man who lives on Bob Shauer’s farm (not sure of the spelling). Bob told him he could live here. The man who lives there said Dwight could live there if he cleaned up and kept himself clean. Dwight also lost is cows to bad feed, I was told. So he will probably never get ones to replace them.
Hey Abe: Have not communicated in awhile. I am coming back to Ohio this year end of July for 40th class reunion. This time I will make sure I see you!!
I am well still in NorCal and hope your family is well!! Dude you were the best teacher I ever had and I will never forget your inspiration. Michelle (Alias Micki Weaver)
I suggest your get in touch before you decided to stop as we are in and out a lot. At our age either I have doctor appointments or Patty does. Let me know on Facebook. Some old students of mine have found me on Facebook and are now friends again. Hard to imagine but they are grandmas and grandpas.
I never did see Michelle Weaver Lee. I guess she came back but had too many other things to do. She surely remembers that time when our whole art class ended up at Englewood Reserve?
