The bumblebees did most of the pollinating the last few years. Honeybees have been in short supply. There are lots of reasons for their serious decline but I know as well as the next person, that insecticide has killed them in numbers so great that the hives die and the colonies are unable to recover. If it wasn’t for some insects and other bees, the world would starve. And you probably didn’t know this but there are people who have 18-wheeler semi trucks filled with bee hives and the owner rents them out to farmers to pollinate their fields of food. Remember that insect sprays kills everything in spite of what it says on the warning label—it isn’t safe for pets to walk around on the stuff, let along chipmunks, rabbits, squirrels, raccoons and birds. You might find yourself in Hell, wanting a drink of water, because you are responsible for mass killing of insects, including honeybees.

Thanks for the visit.
you’re so true !
Abe, I didn’t know about the hives being lent out and can imagine it’s a lot of work to gather them up carefully.
At the end of the day or the end of the rental period, the bees all return to their hives at night. When they do, the truck drives away for the next pollination job.
